Wm. Stephenson died last Sunday evening shortly after eight o'clock. His death was caused from a cancer of the stomach, from which he had been a suffererer for a long time. For about nine months he bad been unable to keep anything on his stomach, and gradually wasted away to a mere skeleton, until death come to his relief. He leaves a wife, two sons and two daughters and two sisters, Mrs Thomas Ward and Mrs. Boswell Clough, besides numerous other relatives and friends to mourn his loss. Short services were held at the residence Tuesday morning, after which the remains were interred in the cemetery west of town. Doctors Lynn, Olin and Washburn held a post mortem examination over the body of Wm. Stephenson last Monday and found his death was caused by a large cancer in the stomach. - thanks to Kim H
